This group on Intermediality focuses on the exchanges that occur between various art and media forms and how such interactions connect different techniques and strategies that are either employed synchronically or diachronically for the purpose of representation, communication and reception in society. Intermediality, in our context, is focused on scripto-centric (writing), phono-centric (orality) and body-centric (performances and crafts) representations that are sometimes distinct and sometimes overlapping, both in traditional and modern literary cultures. In this sense, intermediality also subsumes social epistemological contexts along with interdisciplinarity and margino-centric perspectives.
