COVID-19 and the Muslim Community, a focused project under COVID-19 Cultural Archiving and Research Forum, primarily aimed to trace the experience and the pluralistic responses of Muslim Community to COVID-19 at a pan-Indian level. The group used a variety of researched analysis of data that was carefully collected and curated throughout the pandemic. Indian Muslims have had historically and culturally diverse legacies as well as crucial areas of mutual engagement with fellow Indians from other communities that together manifest themselves in their response to COVID-19. The team hosts multiple perspectives since the regional expressions within the community are diverse and multifaceted.
The project was taken in collaboration with the Tokyo University of Foreign Studies, Japan, which has already uploaded the findings on its’ website.
